Police vetting

The Vetting Process

As part of our approach to safeguarding children who take part on the farm, it is our policy to require anyone in a role at Kelmarna who works with children to be police vetted.

Please follow the steps below to begin the process.

All you need to do is provide the items outlined below, then we will submit the vet request with NZ Police.
Step 1

Use the link below to download and complete the consent form.

We've already ticked a number of the boxes for you on page one, but please be sure to fill in all of the other information that's relevant to you.

If you need help completing the form, please refer to the guide at the link in Step 2.

Step 2

Provide evidence for two forms of identification.

These can either be sighted in-person by Kelmarna staff, or digital copies sent to us via email.

Remember that at least one form of ID must have a photograph.

To help understanding the acceptable types of identification, you can find information about this on pages 3 and 4 of the guide.

Step 3

Send us a digital copy of your completed form, and evidence of your two types of identification.

We suggest you get started right away on completing a police vetting consent form, as it takes 2 - 4 weeks to process.

Confidentiality & Results

The vetting process and results are strictly confidential.

A person may be rejected from a role if, due to the results of the Police Vet, we aren't satisfied that they are fit to interact with children at Kelmarna.
