Soil Factory Contactless Drop-offs

We're excited to offer a safe, contactless method of responsibly disposing of organic scraps during the challenges of COVID-19 Alert Level restrictions.

Please take a careful look through the guidelines below in order to protect yourself, your fellow composters, and our staff so that we can continue to support you by composting safely together.

Oh, and if you're not signed up and are interested in composting with us, visit SoilFactory.co.nz to learn more and get started!

Please do not participate in the service if you experience any symptoms, or have been around those that do.

Drop-off bins will be left open (no lids), so that you can empty your scraps without having to touch or open our bins.

Because we will be leaving the bins open, we can only accept food scraps while we are on-site. This means no evening drop-offs.

Until further notice, drop-offs will need to be: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm

I hope that should work for everyone, but please let us know if it causes you any problems.

Please report your drop-offs using our online form. There won't be a clipboard for manual drop-offs in order to avoid common contact with items.

Thanks very much for making the extra effort. The form can be completed on any of your devices. If you'd like to add a shortcut to the home screen of your device, click here for an explanation of how to do so.

Please rinse out and clean your bucket at home, if at all possible.

If this isn't possible, there will be hand sanitiser available to use before and after using the normal tap.

Our team will be emptying and cleaning the bins every day, as well as sanitising the tap.

Please note that the site is still closed to the public, and please respect the space of our team working there, as well as any other Soil Factory members dropping off when you are.

Thank you for helping us keep composting safe!
